Les Conteurs du Lac
Project developed during an academic exchange at ESADSE (École Supérieure d'Art et Design de Saint-Étienne)
Les Conteurs du Lac are a nomadic collective of storytellers, inspired by the Lake of the Bois d'Avaize — a park in Saint-Étienne — and the mystery of its disappearance.
During the semester, three meetings were organized between the ESADSE students and the members of the Association of the Bois d'Avaize, from which two videos and an illustrated protocol result, allowing the reproduction of the meetings.
This project aims to create a space where people could share stories, thus, explore the limits between the subjectivity of an individual narrative and the creation of a collective imagination.
